Europe travel: Hamburg, Germany, and beyond

Over the fall, I spent 8 weeks in Europe. Jeff’s work called him to Hamburg, Germany, for a project, and I was dragged along kicking and screaming (as IF). I got to live it up, mostly in Hamburg, but on weekends, Thanksgiving week, and when our friends came to visit, we traveled.

We had an apartment in Hamburg, Germany, and got to travel to the following places: Amsterdam, London, Rome, Venice, Munich, Prague (sorry Jeff, he didn’t get to go), and Berlin.

When I told people what I was doing, everyone was so excited for the blog posts that would surely come out of this. And, I let you down, blog. I was too busy adventuring to document my adventures.

But … better late than never, right?

I did write one blog post while on a train from Venice to Munich (yes, this was my life back then!), and I sent it to Kim to edit, and she gave me wonderful suggestions, and then I told her I would post when I got to some wifi. This week, I found that email exchange as I was cleaning out my inbox and realized … I never did post it or anything else about my trip.

Next week, I will post that blog, if for no other reason than I didn’t waste Kim’s time! I’ll also be writing occasionally about my trip; memories as they come back to me. I miss Europe every day and long for those adventures again. Here is a way I can share them with you and keep them forever.

So, thanks for being patient, my friends. More to come.
