A hodgepodge of thoughts today:

I’ll share a couple of sites I came across this week (mostly through social networking!):
D&AD Creative Search: I saw this one mentioned by several people on Twitter this week. Go ahead, type something in. I typed “flowers” and then I typed “Melissa Oyler” … it’s fun!
One hundred pushups: Ok, this is so cool. Ben mentioned it on Daily Mile and I had to check it out. As someone who can barely do 10 pushups, I’m in. And no, I do not do girl pushups! Notice there’s also a 200 sit-ups and 200 squats program (both of which sound much easier to me; I know I can do at least 100 crunches in a row). Who’s going to do this with me?

Speaking of situps and pushups and putting your body through hell, I will be running 15 miles tomorrow. Fifteen. The longest I’ve ever run. I am so freakin’ excited. I’m in week 10 of 18 of the marathon training program, and I am loving it. I haven’t skipped a single run (there was that 3-mile run that turned into 1.2 miles because I hurt my knee, but I tried!) I have been very bad about not doing cross-training, though. I need to get those pedals on my bike and go out and conquer the fear of clipless pedals! Maybe when Kevin gets back in town.

Will be in Athens next weekend and I’m looking forward to running with Chris again – glad his injuries are recovering! Next weekend is a mere 16 miles, gulp. I can’t wait to be in Athens again. Can’t wait to go to 5-Star Diner and 8es and all our other favs …
Then the weekend after is the 1/2 marathon in Greenville (which I have yet to sign up for!) and the Flight of the Vampire 5K in Brevard (which I have signed up for). I am excited for a day of running and Halloween! We’ll go out in Brevard after that.

The day after that starts NanoWriMo. Wow, I have a lot to do.

I’ll leave you with an ad I designed for a client this week – I did a horizontal version of this ad months ago but the publication wanted to run it vertical, so here it is:
