Something you hope to do in your life

Note: I’m writing the 30 Days of Truth topics, not necessarily in the next 30 days, but in at some point, eventually, I will get all 30 days done. Write with me! On your blog if you have one, in the comments here if you don’t or if you don’t want to put it on your blog.

Day 05 → Something you hope to do in your life.

Well, I tackled this a couple of years ago with my bucket list. But today, I’ll focus on one of these. #1 to be exact.

1. Write a novel.

I wrote this update a little more than a year ago: How it’s going: I have written the first draft of a novel. And I am working on the first draft of a second novel. Not too shabby, but I have a long way to go! I’ll add my new goal is to make my novel reader-ready!

So, a year and 3 months later, here’s another update: I’ve now written two first drafts of two novels. I did them both through NaNoWriMo. I didn’t do it this past November, since three first drafts of three novels is not ok with me. I want to finish what I started. I want to complete at least one of the first two. At least to the point where I am ready for people to read it.

So, folks, if it’s written here it must be true: By the end of 2011, I will have at least one draft of a novel that is complete enough that it will be available for you to read.

So, what is something you hope to do in your life, and more importantly, when are you going to do it?

My current goal is the run the Cooper River Bridge Run on April2, 2011 without stopping. Last year I didn’t run at all and had major and random issues with my legs. I still do not feel 100% but I am trying to work my way up. The most I have run this year on the treadmill has been 2.5, and I have about 1.5months to continue to train. Just working slowly and praying! Melissa, I can’t wait to read your novel!
