The room crashes and burns
purple ceiling closes in
Bright light seems – hospital-like
but no white coats at this operation
Strange faces look down at me
a familiar one – but I do not recognize
Have I been sleeping this whole time?
Dreams were good and awakening rough
So much more pain to come –
Would I rather walk away?
Eyes center on the one who loves me
“Don’t worry” he smiles,
“It’s my job to catch you when you fall.”
